I was granted the opportunity to design for Sotheby's Andy Warhol selling exhibition themed around his fiscal focused works. Responsibilities ranged from identity to environmental design. The mark was inspired by both the framing of art work and the line work that frames dollar bills and cheques. The total auction was valued at over a million dollars.

The Museum of Mathematics is an institution focused in curating art in the field of mathematics as well as historical and educational content. The logo was influenced by the abacus, a tool adopted hundreds of years before a written numerical system. I wanted to explore modular systems throughout the identity through typographic solutions playing off the original logo and a masonry grid user interface system that could fluidly shift from different size devices simply by reorganizing each panel. Lastly I paired the branding identity with an exhibition based on Issac Newton that plays off the motif of his falling apples.

A cover design for J.D. Salinger's coming of age short story Franny and Zooey. The book is themed in perspective and self reflection with a significant scene taking place within a bathroom with running water. I wanted to reflect these moments on the cover against the porcelain, portraying a moment of clarity with lettering flushing away as the characters transition into new people

A themed checkers set disguised as a zen garden when inactive. The Rake was designed to form the grid with one horizontal and one verticle stroke through the sand. It could then be flipped over to clear the board with a single stroke. The piece aims to playfully create a tension between ideas of calm and conflict. This project was featured at the Art Directors Club SVA show in March 2014.

I've always been fascinated with The Bowery. Once known for its scruffy skid row streets and its birth to punk The Bowery has developed into a modern culture hub filled with design institutions, museums, gourmet restaurants and experimental hotels. Though the area adopted a sophisticated shift it remains cold and in some ways intimidating. I wanted to design an identity that reflects its brutalist feeling architecture and cold demeanor in modern fashion by playing off the angular geometry of its new buildings while still holding onto some of the grit that makes the neighborhood The Bowery.
